Yet another fire close to the Quinta, this is probably the closest we have seen. Although the summer did not start until mid June, it has been consistently hot and dry with virtually no rain. On a recent visit to Aveiro it was apparent that there have been some very large fires, both close to the motorway and on the Caramulos, where a number of firefighters died.
