Directions.
From Porto Airport, around 1 hour and 40minutes. On leaving the airport head towards Porto and find the A1 to Lisbon, join this road and take a ticket at the first toll booths. Continue to the exit for Viseu A25 (around 40 minutes) and pay at the toll booth. Follow the A25 to Exit 19 sign-posted Satao,(about an hour from the A1) follow this road to the first exit , again sign-posted Satao. Turn right onto the N229, continue across three roundabouts, then at the second set of traffic-lights turn right into Cavernaes. Continue down a dip and up the other side, turn right to Sao Pedro de France and Silvares. Go through the village of Silvares and then turn right to Guimaraes, follow the road through the village until you reach a steep slope to a T Junction. Turn left and you have arrived.
Directions from Lisbon Airport. The journey will take about three and a half hours. Find the A1 to Porto. Continue to the exit for Viseu A25 and pay at the toll booth.
