At long last we have moved lock, stock and barrel. We left Little Norton at 7am on 5th December and travelled on the train under the channel. It took the best part of three days to drive down, raining all through France and most of Northern Spain. We arrived late on Friday evening the 7th and have experienced lovely sunny days until now (17th December) with cold frosty nights. Apparently the cold nights are quite unusual and friends of ours have lost a number of young orange trees.

    Hiya Tom,

I’m currently researching a book on emigrating for Which? and wondered if you would be prepared to contribute? I’m looking to feature a case study on somebody who has emigrated to Portugal, so I’d primarily like to know:
    – When you moved and who with
    – Whereabouts in Portugal you moved to and why
    – Why you decided to emigrate to Portugal
    – How you find the whole process – easy/ difficult? Any problems?
    – How you have settled in and whether you have any advice for people doing them same thing.

If you would be happy to answer these questions then you can contact me at hanna.lindon@outboundmedia.co.uk (you can also take a look at my company’s website at http://www.emigrate2.co.uk). I can send you a free copy of the book when it’s published if you would like.

I hope very much to hear from you soon.

    Best wishes,

    Hanna
