Well the warm weather is over, and now we are into the cool and almost constant rain. The weather this year has been quite different to that which we have experienced since we have been here. Last Winter was particularly wet, and continued well into May. There was more rain and cloud during the Summer than normal, and the Autumn followed suit. Most of our neighbour´s olive trees which I can see from the window are still quite  green, whereas normally we would have been into the harvest by now. We had to provide some heating for one of the last guests, something that has never happened before! Still for all that we would rather be here than in the U.K.

Last month we spent a few days in the North with my brother and sister-in-law. We met in Coruna and spent a night there. The first day was very wet, so our look round Coruna was brief, but included their light house which has been in existence since Roman times.

We then moved on to Santiago do Compostelo, to a very nice hotel where the food was really excellent. We spent the afternoon in the centre of the city which is dominated by the cathedral, and enjoyed a trip on the tourist train.
