For the last week it feels as though we have had nothing but rain, at times very heavy. It has delayed the grape picking and as of today we are still not sure exactly when we will pick. The good news is that we have bottled last years wine, and those that have tasted it think it is better than the 2011, which probably makes it the best yet.
We had a really good meal at the Casa Da Insua last Sunday with Jack and Debbie and friends Marion and John. While Jack and Debbie were here we visited Bucaco palace. We looked round a museum of the peninsular war showing details of the battle of Bucaco, which Wellington won, and then we had an excellent meal in the hotel in lovely surroundings.
