We have had little or no rain since April! There have been a huge number of fires throughout the countryside, many of them quite close by. I have attached a shot taken one evening, when we could clearly see the flames on the next ridge. This year we have had a pair of swallows nesting in our courtyard, they have produced two broods of chicks, a total of six, all of which have fledged .
